Royal Fishing Review: Imperial Halls, Dragon Wrath and Awakening Bosses

Tuli studies Chinese history at Dhaka University, so when she first opened a fishing game decorated with imperial palaces, golden dragons and jade lanterns, she noticed details most players miss. The highest-stakes room is named after the Qianlong Emperor, one of the longest-reigning rulers of the Qing dynasty, and the boss wheel carries his name too. She now jokes that she plays for research.

Royal Fishing, released by JILI in October 2021, wraps the fish-shooting formula in imperial splendour. It offers three halls for different budgets, a free turret, a meteor attack, bosses that wake up and fight back, and a royal wheel. This review explains how each part works and how to keep play sensible.

Three Halls for Three Budgets

Royal Fishing is organised into three halls, each with its own stake range and atmosphere. Choosing the right one is the first and most important decision.

Joy Hall is the entry room, with the lowest stakes per shot. Regal Hall sits in the middle, and Qian Long Hall is the high-stakes room for experienced players with larger budgets.

Starting in Joy Hall

Joy Hall is perfect for learning the creatures, weapons and bosses without pressure. Small stakes let you play for a long time on a modest budget.

Tuli spent her first week entirely in Joy Hall before trying anything else. She says it taught her more than any guide could.

Moving Up

Regal and Qian Long halls unlock an extra weapon, Dragon Wrath, and feel more intense. They also drain budgets faster.

Move up only when you understand the game well and your budget genuinely allows it.

Return to Player and Maximum Win

Royal Fishing is listed with a return to player of 97 percent, which is generous for the genre. The top win reaches 1,000 times the bet.

As always, these figures describe long-term averages and rare ceilings, not what will happen in any single session.

The Imperial Theme

The game borrows heavily from Chinese imperial culture. Golden dragons, red lacquer, jade ornaments and palace roofs frame the ocean, and the soundtrack uses traditional instruments.

The Qianlong Emperor ruled China for sixty years in the eighteenth century and was famous for his love of art and grand ceremonies, which makes him a fitting namesake for the most luxurious hall.

Why Presentation Matters

A game’s look does not change its maths, but it changes how a session feels. Many players find the calm, elegant style of Royal Fishing more relaxing than louder, more chaotic shooters.

Tuli says the imperial setting makes even a quiet session feel like a visit to a museum, which suits her perfectly.

Weapons and Tools

In Royal Fishing, your standard cannon lets you adjust both power and stake. Aim and Auto Fishing help you focus fire on specific targets or play without constant tapping.

The game also provides two special tools that give Royal Fishing its character.

Thunderbolt Turret

Certain creatures activate the Thunderbolt Turret, which gives fifteen seconds of free ammunition. Those fifteen seconds are precious, so aim at the most valuable targets on screen.

Players often wait for a crowded moment before triggering it, if they can.

If the turret activates on a quiet screen, focus the free shots on the single most valuable creature in range rather than scattering them across small fish.

Dragon Wrath

In Regal and Qian Long halls, shooting charges a meter for Dragon Wrath, a meteorite attack that rains down across the screen. It is spectacular to watch and can collect many fish at once.

Saving it for a screen full of valuable creatures makes the most of its power. Watching the meteors fall across a crowd of lobsters and crabs is one of the most memorable sights in any fishing game.

Special Creatures

Royal Fishing includes several creatures with explosive or electric effects. The Drill Bit Lobster triggers an explosion that can capture multiple fish, while the Thunderbolt Lobster activates the free turret.

Thunder Consecutive Hit stuns nearby fish, and the Serial Bomb Crab sets off a chain of explosions.

Using Effects Wisely

Effect creatures are most valuable when the screen is busy. Catching a Serial Bomb Crab in the middle of a large school can produce a burst of rewards.

On an empty screen, the same catch delivers far less.

The Bosses

Royal Fishing has two kinds of bosses. Immortal bosses cannot be caught but release prizes several times while they remain on screen. Awakening bosses can be caught, then come back to life for a second phase.

Knowing which kind is on screen helps you decide how much ammunition to commit.

Immortal Bosses

The Golden Toad and the Ancient Crocodile are immortal. Steady, affordable fire while they remain on screen can produce several rewards.

Chasing them with expensive weapons rarely pays, because they never fall.

Awakening Bosses

The Awakening Humpback Whale, the Awakening Legend Dragon and the Ice Phoenix can be caught and then awaken for another phase. The Ice Phoenix can reward up to 300 times the bet.

These are the dramatic highlights of the game, and the whole hall tends to focus on them when they appear. Only the final hit collects the main reward, so do not be surprised if a stranger snatches a phoenix you spent several shots on.

The ChainLong King Wheel

The royal bonus wheel, named after the emperor, can award up to 350 times the bet. Landing it is one of the most satisfying moments in Royal Fishing.

Tuli says the music when the wheel starts spinning is worth the wait on its own.

Tips for Royal Fishing

Set an ammunition budget for each Royal Fishing visit and treat it as final. If a dragon appears after your budget is gone, simply watch the spectacle.

Keep your cannon power low for small creatures and raise it only for bosses and effect creatures close to your position.

Rotate Halls Thoughtfully

Some players move between halls depending on their mood and budget. That is fine, but decide on a separate limit for each hall before entering.

Never move up to a higher hall to recover losses from a lower one. That habit is how small losses turn into big ones, and it takes the joy out of what should be a light, colourful game.

Separating Luck From Pattern

No hall is “luckier” than another, and a boss that has taken many hits is not closer to falling. Each shot is resolved independently.

Changing devices or times of day has no effect either.

Play Wisely

The palace doors open only for players who are eighteen or older, and the law where you live always takes priority. Fund your sessions from a small, separate entertainment pot.

If a session stops feeling enjoyable, close the game and come back another day. Spending caps and self-exclusion are available in your account.

Where to Play

Royal Fishing is available in the fishing lobby at MCW, with all three halls, stakes in taka and top-ups through bKash, Nagad or Rocket.

Start in Joy Hall, learn the bosses and enjoy the imperial atmosphere. When you are ready, open the lobby at MCW and step into the palace.
